Google has unveiled Flow, an AI-powered video creation tool designed to streamline the filmmaking process by enabling users to generate short, cinematic clips using text prompts and images. Launched at Google I/O 2025, Flow integrates advanced AI models—Veo 3 for video generation, Imagen 4 for image creation, and Gemini for text processing—to assist creators in visualizing and producing video content efficiently.

Flow allows users to input descriptive text or images to generate eight-second video clips, which can be combined using its SceneBuilder feature to create cohesive narratives. The tool offers camera controls, enabling adjustments to angles and movements, and supports the addition of audio elements, including dialogue and sound effects, enhancing the storytelling experience.

Available in the U.S. through Google’s AI Pro and AI Ultra subscription plans, Flow aims to democratize video production by providing accessible tools for creators to conceptualize and iterate on ideas rapidly. While it currently focuses on short-form content, Flow represents a significant step toward more accessible and efficient video creation workflows.
